After a long and windy trip via Calgary, we landed in Montana during Great Fall's Art Week Celebrations, which is a tribute to Charlie Russell.  There were many shows and auctions during the time we were there and, although Jay's show had many top quality artists, it's very possible people were overloaded with the volume of art works to see, with not enough buyers to go around.  The economy may have had a lot to do with it too.  But we did get to talk to many interesting people, especially the Metis that live in that area.  As you can see this was definitely a Metis display.

We enjoyed connecting with Jay and Lynn Contway and completing a transaction that was started at last year's Calgary Stampede.

We delivered a portrait Dennis did of Jay (see on wall) and yes, he's wearing the headdress that's in the foreground.

And we brought home the bronze "Left Hand" (see on desk), Jay's Stampede Quick Draw.
