I photographed this animal at a ranch in Lumby where a border collie competition was taking place. This is my first piece using the ancient media of Silverpoint. Leonardo Da'Vinci's sketches were done with silverpoint, as graphite (for pencils) had not yet been invented. Over time the silver tarnishes and these works of art will become a soft burnished sepia color.
